Emma A. (NOTH) FLANIGAN, 88, a former Kiel resident, died Saturday afternoon, December 17, at Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, where she had been a resident for the past three weeks.
The former Emma lack was born on February 4, 1900 in the town of Plymouth, the daughter of the late Henry and Augusta (Rehm) Laack. She attended the former Acorn School in the town of Plymouth. On June 17, 1922, she was married to Alfred Noth. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1943. On May 16, 1964 she married Rexford Flanigan. He preceded her in death on August 8, 1988. She was employed at Borden’s in Plymouth for a number of years, retiring in 1964. She was a member of St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, Kiel, and was a former member of the Kiel Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Larry (Bernice) Ishmael of Phoenix, Arizona, Mrs. Marvin (Elvira) Weber of Elkhart Lake; and Mrs. Donald (Ruth) Tauscher of Kiel; four step-daughters, Mrs. James (Jacqueline) MacKinnis of Neenah; Mrs. Linda Walsch, of North Fond du Lac; Mrs. Nancy Peterson of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Thomas (Gail) Robinson of Rosendale; two step-sons, Glen (Diane) of Oshkosh and James of California; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; 16 step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers, three sisters, a step-son, a grandson and a granddaughter.
