JUSTINE WILHELMINE ESSLING

CALLED BY DEATH.
Mrs. Justine Wilhelmine Essling passed away at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Zerler, where she had been making her home for many years, Tuesday night after a lingering illness.

Death was due to dropsy, which set in after she had suffered a number of years with an open leg.

The deceased, nee Bunge, was born in Melzow, Ukermark, Germany, April 9, 1838. She came to America in 1882, settling in Kiel, and was united in marriage here to Christian Essling, the couple making their home in the village. Eight children were born to them, of whom three daughters are living. Her husband died 14 years ago.

Besides her three daughters, she leaves 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; also one brother, Chr. Bunge of Schleswig.

The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon from the home, with services at St. Peters Reformed church, Rev. Wm. Rech officiating.
Interment in the Kiel cemetery.
