Allan A. Oldenborg died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at the Grace Pointe Crossing East Care Center in Cambridge, Minn.

The funeral was held on Nov. 5, at St. Andrew Lutheran Church in East Bethel, Minn. Burial will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements were assisted by Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel in Coon Rapids, Minn.

He was born on March 29, 1932, to Axel and Agnes (Sather) Oldenborg in Blackduck. He graduated from Blackduck High School and joined the United State Air Force in 1951. He served four years, spending time in Korea and Japan. After his discharge from the service, he attended Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis and graduated in 1959. He was employed as a toolmaker until his retirement in 1997. He married in 1958. They made their home in Brooklyn Center, Minn., and moved to a town home in St. Francis, Minn. after retirement.

He is survived by his wife; son of East Bethel; daughter of Otsego, and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Cliff and John; sisters, Doris, Edna, Gladys and Clara.
