George Donald Goetz, age 72, of Neenah, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015. he was born August 14, 1942, in Neenah, Wisconsin, the son of the late George and Florence (Ziemke) Goetz.

George married Judy Schomisch on July 10, 1965. He worked for Sonoco U. S. Paper Mills in Menasha for many years.

He was a charter member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Neenah. George will always be remembered as an avid Packer, Badger and Brewer fan.

George is survived by his wife, Judy Goetz; sister, Bernice (Ken) Kirby of Boulder, CO and their children, Paul Kirby and Marla (Jeff) Ragsdale, both of Boulder, CO; brother, Fran (Gail) Goetz of Neenah, WI and their children, Steve (Samantha) Goetz and son Peyton, of Delafield, WI and Jennifer (David) Boltz and daughter Taryn, of Huntley, IL; sister-in-law, Loretta (Gary) Knapton of Appleton; niece, Rebecca (James) Harris; grandnieces and grandnephews, Melanie, Grant, Clark and LaiLa; niece, Kelly (John) Lenz and grandniece, Brinley. He is further survived by many friends.

Family and friends may call from 10:00-11:30 a.m., on Tuesday, February 3, 2015, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 11:30 a.m., in the church with Father Larry Seidl officiating. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
