On a visit with her daughter here, Mrs. Herman Pickruhn was stricken with a failing heart early Monday morning, resulting in her death about 6 o’clock. She had been in apparently good health when she retired that evening.
The services of the fire departments first aid squad was appealed for with their oxygen equipment and resuscitator. Oxygen was administered for two hours in an attempt to relieve her suffering and if possible prolong her life, which proved of no avail however.

Mrs. Louise Pickruhn, nee Fischer, was born Dec. 10, 1866 at a home in Schleswig, Manitowoc county of Christian and Mary Fischer. She was wed to Herman Pickruhn, Nov. 1, 1884 at Kiel, Wis. She came to her home in Brillion in 1892. Her husband was employed for many years as a cabinet maker at the early Brillion Lumber Company.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. F. L. Luecker of here, Mrs. A. C. Behnke of Manitowoc; one brother, Christian Fischer of Kiel also survives as well as three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Services were held Thursday from the Luecker funeral home here and from the Evangelical & Reformed church. The Rev. E. D. Rodel officiated. Burial was in the Brillion City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Aug. Becker, Fred Mathiebe, Henry Becker, Amos Luecker, Norbert Horn and Clarence Pagel.
