Gertrude Goetsch Sheboygan Press July 1, 1935
Elkhart Lake - Mrs. Herman Goetsch, aged 61, nee Gertrude Mueller, passed away at the Plymouth hospital early Sunday morning. Mrs. Goetsch was convalescing from an operation which she underwent last Monday and her death occurred very unexpectedly.
Mrs. Goetsch was born Dec. 12, 1873, in the town of Rhine, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Mueller. Her marriage to Herman Goetsch took place Nov. 20, 1902, and the couple spent the first five years in the village of Franklin, moving from there in 1907 to their present farm near Hull's Crossing in the town of Greenbush. During the 28 years that Mrs. Goetsch resided at this farm she made a large number of friends in the vicinity, who mourn her death.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Conrad Limberg of the town of Greenbush and Miss Evelyn, at home, two sons, Walter and Robert both at home; four sisters, Mrs. Catherine Noth, Mrs. Lena Raeder of Plymouth, Miss Dora Mueller and Mrs. Fred Schleunes of the town of Schleswig and a brother, Frank Mueller of the town of Rhine. Another brother, Valentine Mueller, was buried ten day ago. He was the third brother who died and two sisters also preceded Mrs. Goetsch in death.
Funeral services will be held at the Goetsch home and at the Reformed church in Elkhart Lake. The Rev. Otto Saewert will officiate and burial will be made in the Greenbush cemetery.
